This was announced by the country&#8217;s Minister of Economy, Jos\u00e9 Gabriel Espinoza, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/americas\/bolivia-negotiating-9-billion-multilateral-loans-spur-recovery-2025-11-25\/\">Reuters<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>&#8220;Digital assets cannot be controlled globally, so they need to be recognized and used to our advantage,&#8221; the official noted.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to the publication, local banks will be allowed to offer cryptocurrency custody services. They will be permitted for use as a means of payment, as well as for savings accounts, credit products, and loans.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reasons for Legalization<\/h2>\n<p>The authorities&#8217; decision is driven by a challenging economic situation.
