It can be acquired through ChatGPT. You start with a problem and then recursively work your way down,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Petersson joined the OpenAI team in December. Prior to this, he worked as a programmer at Midjourney and Dataland.<\/p>\n<p>In 2019, the developer left school to join a small startup. He was \u201cforced\u201d to learn programming out of necessity.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cWe needed to create things, develop product recommendation systems, scraping, integrations,\u201d noted the OpenAI employee.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Learn LLM<\/h2>\n<p>To understand the workings of <span data-descr=\"large language models\" class=\"old_tooltip\">LLM<\/span>, Petersson asked ChatGPT which project to implement and then requested the chatbot to generate code. When errors arose, he corrected them using the model.<\/p>\n<p>He then delved into specific components of the system, gradually mastering key concepts.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cSuddenly, you have all the basic knowledge, and no longer need to move from the bottom up,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Petersson emphasized that people should focus on results rather than diplomas. This way, they can prove their worth.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cCompanies just want to make money. Show them how to do it, that you can program, and they will hire you,\u201d said the OpenAI employee.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dropping Out to Succeed<\/h2>\n<p>The rapid development of artificial intelligence is opening new opportunities for those who have left school or just graduated. This is discussed in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/high-school-dropout-openai-chatgpt-learn-ai-gabriel-petersson-2025-11\">blog<\/a> by Andreessen Horowitz.<\/p>\n<p>OpenAI&#8217;s head, Sam Altman, did not finish Stanford.
