Subscribers to the service will receive compensation guarantees of up to $10,000 per month for all transactions deemed safe by the system,\u201d the developers explained.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How Does It Work?<\/h2>\n<p>The MetaMask team emphasized that the wallet&#8217;s built-in security system automatically protects users&#8217; assets. The infrastructure simulates transactions, analyzes smart contracts and token behavior, and blocks malicious domains and new threats in real-time.<\/p>\n<p>The basic functionality is available to all users. If a transaction passes the check successfully, the system marks it as safe. The Transaction Protection mechanism provides an additional guarantee, covering potential losses on such transactions up to $10,000.<\/p>\n<p>Subscribers to Transaction Shield receive notifications about whether protection applies to a specific transfer. It supports popular networks: Ethereum, Linea, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-arbitrum\">Arbitrum<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-avalanche-avax\">Avalanche<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-optimism-op\">Optimism<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-base-coinbases-l2\">Base<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-polygon-matic\">Polygon<\/a>, BNB Chain, and Sei.<\/p>\n<p>Insurance coverage applies to the following operations:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>DeFi sector:<\/strong> token swaps on verified <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-a-decentralised-exchange-dex\">DEX<\/a> (such as <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-uniswap-uni\">Uniswap<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-1inch\">1inch<\/a>), as well as interactions with lending protocols and <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-liquid-staking\">liquid staking<\/a> like <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-aave\">Aave<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-lido\">Lido<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-are-nfts\"><strong>NFT<\/strong><\/a><strong>:<\/strong> minting and trading assets on marketplaces such as <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/why-opensea-is-the-most-popular-nft-marketplace\">OpenSea<\/a> or Rarible;<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-a-cryptocurrency-airdrop\"><strong>airdrops<\/strong><\/a><strong>:<\/strong> claiming coins through verified smart contracts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In certain cases, the service does not provide compensation for losses. These include:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>wallet compromise.<\/strong> Losses resulting from phishing, malware, seed phrase leaks\/theft, or breaches of security rules when storing private keys;<\/li>\n<li><strong>market risks.<\/strong> Financial losses from technically correct transactions caused by price volatility or low liquidity;<\/li>\n<li><strong>vulnerabilities in third-party protocols.<\/strong> Damage from hacks of DeFi platforms or errors in smart contracts not managed by MetaMask.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requests can be made in the MetaMask extension settings by navigating to the Transaction Shield section.<\/p>\n<p>The subscription costs $9.99 per month or $99 per year.
