{"id":91723,"date":"2025-12-03T15:17:00","date_gmt":"2025-12-03T12:17:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=91723"},"modified":"2025-12-03T15:20:17","modified_gmt":"2025-12-03T12:20:17","slug":"amazon-unveils-ai-chip-trainium3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/amazon-unveils-ai-chip-trainium3\/","title":{"rendered":"Amazon Unveils AI Chip Trainium3"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Amazon Web Services (AWS) has introduced the latest version of its proprietary AI chip, Trainium3, and announced the development of the next iteration, Trainium4.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Trainium3 UltraServers now available: Enabling customers to train and deploy AI models faster at lower cost. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/AWSreInvent?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#AWSreInvent<\/a> \u2b07\ufe0f <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/YV8iUyKUB8\">https:\/\/t.co\/YV8iUyKUB8<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Amazon News (@amazonnews) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/amazonnews\/status\/1995893546277122532?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 2, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The firm announced the launch of the UltraServer system, which is based on the advanced 3-nm Trainium3 processor and internal networking technology.<\/p>\n<p>Both solutions have demonstrated significant performance improvements in AI training and <span data-descr=\"the process of AI responding after being trained\" class=\"old_tooltip\">inference<\/span> compared to the second-generation semiconductor.<\/p>\n<p>The system shows a fourfold increase in performance and also has four times more memory. This allows not only for AI training but also for servicing AI applications during peak loads.<\/p>\n<p>UltraServer consists of 144 Trainium3 chips. Systems can be combined into a structure that can accommodate up to 1 million semiconductors in total.<\/p>\n<p>The energy efficiency of the new solution is improved by 40%. The company reported that its clients, including Anthropic, LLM Karakuri, SplashMusic, and Decart, are already using third-generation chips. As a result, they have significantly reduced computing costs.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Trainium4<\/h2>\n<p>Amazon has presented a roadmap for semiconductor development. The next-generation chip, Trainium4, is already in development. It will provide &#8220;another big leap&#8221; in performance and will support Nvidia&#8217;s high-speed NVLink Fusion technology.<\/p>\n<p>Systems based on Trainium4 will be able to scale computing power by interacting with Nvidia graphics processors while continuing to use Amazon&#8217;s own, more cost-effective server rack technology.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">AI Agents<\/h2>\n<p>Amazon Web Services <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aboutamazon.com\/news\/aws\/amazon-ai-frontier-agents-autonomous-kiro\">announced<\/a> three new AI agents. One of them can learn user preferences to autonomously operate for several days.<\/p>\n<p>Each digital assistant performs different tasks:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Kiro \u2014 an assistant for programmers. It asks the user for instructions, confirms or corrects assumptions, and then independently completes the task;<\/li>\n<li>AWS Security Agent \u2014 operates independently to detect security issues as code is written;<\/li>\n<li>DevOps Agent \u2014 automatically tests a new algorithm for performance issues or compatibility with other software, hardware, or cloud settings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Kiro maintains &#8220;persistent context between sessions&#8221;\u2014its memory does not expire. The agent can work for several hours or days with minimal human intervention.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sovereign AI<\/h2>\n<p>Another <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aboutamazon.com\/news\/aws\/aws-data-centers-ai-factories\">major release<\/a> from Amazon is AI Factories.
