This mechanism prevents computational overload from individual &#8220;heavy&#8221; transactions.<\/p>\n<p>The update introduces a new transaction type for the Ethereum to Polygon bridge. The network architecture has become more flexible for future upgrades. Shah noted that blocks can now be announced in one second instead of two.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Madhugiri strengthens the infrastructure for working with <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-are-stablecoins\">stablecoins<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-are-rwas-real-world-assets\">tokenized real-world assets<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Aishwari Gupta, head of payments at Polygon Labs, considers these improvements essential for high-frequency operations. In an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/thefintechtimes.com\/stablecoin-super-cycle-polygon-exec-predicts-100000-coins-incoming\/\">The Fintech Times<\/a>, he predicted a &#8220;stablecoin supercycle.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In November, Gupta <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/polygon-executive-predicts-emergence-of-100000-stablecoins-by-2029\">predicted<\/a> the emergence of 100,000 stablecoins by 2029.<\/p>\n<p>In July, Polygon <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/sandeepnailwal\/status\/1942622020354654524\">deployed<\/a> the Heimdall 2.0 hardfork, which reduced transaction finalization time.
