Its new home marks a shared ground between emerging systems and established institutions. From code to culture, the placement\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/sTiNq3h5HY\">pic.twitter.com\/sTiNq3h5HY<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 NYSE \ud83c\udfdb (@NYSE) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NYSE\/status\/1998898609014665339?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 10, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The statue was created by Italian artist Valentina Picozzi.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cThis is such an achievement \u2014 even in our wildest dreams we never thought the statue of Satoshi Nakamoto would end up here! The sixth of 21 statues of Satoshi Nakamoto has found a home at the NYSE,\u201d<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/satoshigallery\/status\/1998899238978343190\"><em>she commented<\/em><\/a><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The installation was organized by Twenty One Capital. Trading of its shares began on December 9 and within the first day <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/shares-of-bitcoin-firm-twenty-one-capital-drop-20-on-first-trading-day\">ended with a nearly 20% drop<\/a> in stock prices.<\/p>\n<p>Exchange representatives described the statue as \u201ca shared ground between emerging systems and established institutions.\u201d The event coincided with the anniversary of the Bitcoin mailing list, launched by Nakamoto on December 10, 2008.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">21 Statues\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p>Picozzi is the creator of the art project Satoshigallery, introduced in 2020. The initiative&#8217;s website states its core belief:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cImages create culture, culture shapes values, and values determine the future.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Through visual images, Picozzi introduces audiences to the history and philosophy of Bitcoin. To this day, Satoshi exists in the lines of Bitcoin&#8217;s code, allowing humanity to possess the first decentralized payment system,\u201d the monument&#8217;s description notes.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In 2018, a virtual monument to the creator of Bitcoin appeared in Kyiv. The installation was the first in a global project to create Cities of Augmented Reality under the aegis of Satoshi Nakamoto Republic.<\/p>\n<p>In 2021, a statue of Nakamoto was <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/budapest-unveils-statue-of-satoshi-nakamoto\">installed<\/a> in Budapest, Hungary.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Picozzi intends to install 21 installations worldwide. This number is a nod to Bitcoin&#8217;s limited supply of 21 million coins.<\/p>\n<p>In October 2024, HBO studio <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/hbo-documentary-to-unveil-bitcoin-creators-identity\">promised<\/a> to reveal the identity of Bitcoin&#8217;s creator in a film about the developer of the first cryptocurrency. The documentary&#8217;s authors named Peter Todd, but he <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/peter-todd-refutes-hbos-claim-of-being-bitcoins-creator\">denied<\/a> the claim.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In February 2025, deBanked editor-in-chief Sean Murray <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/jack-dorsey-alleged-to-be-bitcoins-creator-satoshi-nakamoto\">claimed<\/a> that Jack Dorsey was behind Nakamoto&#8217;s mask.
