Plans include integrating more blockchains.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-an-automated-market-maker\">Automated market makers<\/a> will have the opportunity to create and redeem wrapped XRP in a &#8220;secure and fully compliant environment,&#8221; according to Hex Trust&#8217;s blog.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Representatives of the custodian emphasized that each unit of wXRP is backed by native XRP held in custody. The new coins can always be exchanged for the underlying asset.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Users will also be able to earn with the <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-a-wrapped-token\">wrapped<\/a> coin through supported decentralized services.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cWith the launch of wXRP, we are expanding XRP liquidity in <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-decentralised-finance-defi\"><em>DeFi<\/em><\/a><em> ecosystems, including enhancing the interoperability of the token and the RLUSD stablecoin,\u201d said Hex Trust&#8217;s Chief Product Officer and Head of Custody, Georgia Pelliccari.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Initially, the <span data-descr=\"total value locked\" class=\"old_tooltip\">TVL<\/span> of wXRP will be $100 million. According to Hex Trust, this will create a solid foundation of initial liquidity to ensure smooth trading and stable pricing.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is the Strength?\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p>Debates over the practical value of XRP in the crypto community have persisted for years. A new round of discussion was sparked by a statement from VanEck&#8217;s Head of Digital Asset Research, Matthew Sigel. He <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/vaneck-questions-the-utility-of-ripples-xrp\">stated<\/a> that the token does not provide financial benefits to users and that the XRPL network lacks real-world application.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Hex Trust is not the only company seeking new use cases for Ripple&#8217;s coin. In June, the cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase introduced a wrapped asset, cbXRP, on the <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-a-layer%e2%80%912-solution-in-blockchain\">L2<\/a> network <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-base-coinbases-l2\">Base<\/a>.
