This observation was made by a researcher using the pseudonym Ash.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">2025 token launches have mostly been a bloodbath<\/p>\n<p>Tracked 118 TGE launches this year and compared today\u2019s FDV vs opening:<br \/>\u2022 84.7% (100\/118) are below TGE valuation <br \/>\u2022 This means ~4 out of 5 launches are below their opening valuation<br \/>\u2022 Median token is -71% FDV (-67% MC) from\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/dtCHTvedpZ\">pic.twitter.com\/dtCHTvedpZ<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Ash (@ahboyash) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ahboyash\/status\/2002363360327704834?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 20, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The user compiled a table comparing current <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/fdv-explained-what-it-is-and-how-it-moves-crypto-prices\">FDV<\/a> and market capitalisation with their initial figures.<\/p>\n<p>The average decline in fully diluted value was 71%, while market valuation dropped by 67%.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201c<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-a-token-generation-event-tge\"><em>TGE<\/em><\/a><em> is no longer an early stage [for a project], hooray!\u201d Ash quips.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The most unsuccessful launches include:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>SYND (-93.6% in FDV);<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/experts-weigh-in-on-beras-decline\">BERA<\/a> (-93.5%);<\/li>\n<li>ANIME (-93.1%).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The most successful tokens were:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ASTER (+744%);<\/li>\n<li>ESPORTS (+537%);<\/li>\n<li>H (+323%).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In comments under the post, community members pointed to the end of the era of successful TGEs. Many noted that failures are mainly due to the lack of token utility and &#8220;inflated&#8221; valuations.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cPreviously, TGE was a starting point, now it&#8217;s an exit,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/BR4ted\/status\/2002414954797019145\">added<\/a> one user.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Earlier in December, the token of the AI network Bittensor <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/bittensor-token-drops-8-following-first-halving\">plummeted<\/a> by 8% following its first <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-the-bitcoin-halving\">halving<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Of the 118 tokens launched in 2025, 100 (84.7%) are trading below their initial valuations.
