The operation will be managed by Bitdeer Industrial, a subsidiary of the company.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Bitdeer is excited about sinking roots in Reno, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Nevada?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Nevada<\/a>\u00a0 \u2014 home to our 182,000 sq. ft. flagship <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/manufacturing?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#manufacturing<\/a> and assembly facility in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is a core pillar of Bitdeer\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/SEALMINER?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#SEALMINER<\/a> growth strategy and reflects our long-term commitment to the U.S. by\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Bitdeer (@BitdeerOfficial) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BitdeerOfficial\/status\/2003275921864978465?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 23, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Under an agreement with property owner Dermody, approximately 16,900 square meters will undergo extensive renovation to support the planned activities.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cWe are thrilled to establish our flagship manufacturing and assembly plant in Reno, United States,\u201d said Bitdeer Industrial CEO Katherine Goh.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to her, the location was chosen due to:\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a favorable business environment;\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>proximity to Silicon Valley;<\/li>\n<li>access to a highly skilled workforce;<\/li>\n<li>developed infrastructure to effectively support supply chains and product distribution.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Goh described the establishment of the U.S. facility as part of Bitdeer&#8217;s long-term strategy aimed at developing next-generation chip design and strengthening the mining equipment ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>The United States <a href=\"https:\/\/hashrateindex.com\/blog\/global-hashrate-heatmap-update-q4-2025\/\">maintains<\/a> a leading share of about 40% in the global <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-are-hashrate-and-mining-difficulty-in-cryptocurrencies\">hashrate<\/a> of Bitcoin, remaining a premium market for equipment manufacturers. These manufacturers have increased the localization of assembly operations in the country following President Donald Trump&#8217;s announcement of <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/trumps-tariffs-deal-a-blow-to-bitcoin-mining\">\u201cliberation tariffs\u201d<\/a>. As a result of the new tariffs, shipments from jurisdictions where major ASIC miner assembly plants are located have increased in cost by 24-36%.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, since autumn 2024, U.S. authorities began <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/us-customs-detain-antminer-shipments-at-ports\">detaining<\/a> shipments of imported equipment from industry leader Bitmain. In February, the issues <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/us-customs-halts-import-of-bitmain-asic-miners\">worsened<\/a>, affecting installations from MicroBT and Canaan.<\/p>\n<p>All these companies <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/bitmain-to-establish-bitcoin-miner-production-in-the-us-by-year-end\">announced<\/a> the localization of assembly in the U.S. Canaan has <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/canaan-expands-bitcoin-miner-production-in-the-us\">scaled up<\/a> its production <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/canaan-initiates-asic-miner-production-in-the-united-states\">capacity in the country<\/a> since June. According to MicroBT, the first deliveries from the local facility were <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/riot-platforms-to-buy-bitcoin-miners-from-microbt-for-162-9-million\">made<\/a> as early as December 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Back in November, their competitor Auradine from the U.S. <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/auradine-unveils-bitcoin-miner-with-9-8-j-th-energy-efficiency\">introduced<\/a> the third generation of Teraflux Bitcoin miners, which are entirely produced from local components.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bitdeer Technologies Group has leased a logistics facility in Reno, Nevada, to house the production of SEALMINER ASIC miners.
