Lighter is building infrastructure for the future of finance and the native token is key to aligning incentives. The assets will be distributed to participants of the first and second seasons of the loyalty program held in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The emission distribution is as follows:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>50% to the community;<\/li>\n<li>26% to the team;<\/li>\n<li>24% to investors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The remaining funds in the ecosystem fund will be used for future rewards and partnerships. Team and investor tokens are subject to a one-year lock-up, followed by linear unlocking over three years.<\/p>\n<p>Lighter is registered in the US as a <span data-descr=\"a separate legal entity that is taxed independently of its owners, leading to double taxation: first at the corporate level, then at the shareholder level upon receiving dividends\" class=\"old_tooltip\">C-Corp<\/span>. The company plans to direct revenue from the DEX and future services to LIT holders. Depending on market conditions, funds will be allocated between protocol development and token buybacks. Income data will be available on-chain in real-time.<\/p>\n<p>LIT is essential for <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-staking-and-how-to-make-money-from-it\">staking<\/a>, accessing financial products, paying fees, and validating market data. The project is built on the Ethereum blockchain.<\/p>\n<p>Strategic partners include Robinhood and Coinbase.<\/p>\n<p>Trading of the token began at $2.73.
