With this, xAI hopes to hold accountable those who misuse the chatbot&#8217;s capabilities.<\/p>\n<p>Developers described the restriction as an addition to current security protocols and announced the implementation of further protective measures.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Another Scandal<\/h2>\n<p>In early January, Grok <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/malaysia-and-indonesia-block-grok-over-child-pornography-concerns\">was embroiled in another scandal<\/a> due to its ability to create images of naked real people and minors.<\/p>\n<p>The British organization Internet Watch Foundation noted that its analysts discovered \u201ccriminal materials\u201d of children aged 11 to 13, allegedly created using Grok.<\/p>\n<p>Musk stated that he is unaware of any instance of the chatbot being used to create images of naked minors.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I not aware of any naked underage images generated by Grok. However, there may be cases of \u201chostile hacks\u201d leading to \u201cunexpected results.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On January 11, the Malaysian regulator ordered temporary restrictions following \u201crepeated failures by X Corp\u201d to mitigate risks associated with the AI service.<\/p>\n<p>A day earlier, Indonesia suspended access to the chatbot over similar concerns and summoned company representatives to discuss the issue.<\/p>\n<p>Regulators in the EU, UK, Brazil, and India have demanded an investigation into Grok&#8217;s role in the spread of deepfakes.<\/p>\n<p>A coalition of 28 organizations in the fields of digital rights, women&#8217;s rights, and children&#8217;s rights <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/sustainability\/society-equity\/womens-advocacy-groups-call-apple-google-drop-x-grok-app-stores-2026-01-14\/\">called upon<\/a> the heads of Apple and Google to take action and remove X and the chatbot from app stores.<\/p>\n<p>In January, Grok <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/pentagon-to-integrate-grok-chatbot-into-its-network\">will be integrated<\/a> with the Pentagon&#8217;s network alongside Google&#8217;s generative AI engine.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>xAI has curtailed the capabilities of the Grok neural network on X.
