This was announced by the platform&#8217;s head of product, Nikita Bier.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We are revising our developer API policies: <\/p>\n<p>We will no longer allow apps that reward users for posting on X (aka \u201cinfofi\u201d). This has led to a tremendous amount of AI slop &#038; reply spam on the platform.<\/p>\n<p>We have revoked API access from these apps, so your X experience should\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Nikita Bier (@nikitabier) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/nikitabier\/status\/2011825522817270230?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 15, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>This segment of projects, mainly in the cryptocurrency space, has been dubbed <span data-descr=\"information finance\" class=\"old_tooltip\">InfoFi<\/span>. Additionally, Kaito offered the ability to earn points (yaps) for posts on X about cryptocurrency. These points were converted into KAITO.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The revocation of API access for developers has completely devalued this feature.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Kaito&#8217;s founder, Yu Hu, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/Punk9277\/status\/2011837292907020605?s=20\">announced<\/a> that the platform will abandon Yaps and other related solutions.
