It aims to reduce teenagers&#8217; exposure to sensitive and potentially harmful content.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThis also allows us to treat adults as adults and use tools as they wish, within safety limits,\u201d the announcement states.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How It Works<\/h2>\n<p>To assess age, the model analyzes behavioral factors, such as chat activity time. If OpenAI is unsure of a user&#8217;s age, it automatically opts for the safer option.<\/p>\n<p>Additional safety measures can be viewed in the account settings. They restrict the display of materials containing:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>scenes of violence and cruelty;<\/li>\n<li>viral challenges that may encourage risky or harmful behavior;<\/li>\n<li>role-playing of a sexual or violent nature;<\/li>\n<li>images of self-harm;<\/li>\n<li>promotion of unrealistic beauty standards, strict diets, and appearance criticism.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The initiative is based on scientific data on child development and considers the specifics of adolescent psychology.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the new service, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/openai-to-introduce-parental-controls-in-chatgpt\">parental controls<\/a> are available.
