At that time, the market was recovering after the <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/greed-and-recklessness-why-the-ftx-collapse-is-being-likened-to-the-2008-crisis\">collapse of the FTX exchange<\/a>, and Bitcoin&#8217;s price rose from $16,000 to $98,000 by early 2025.<\/p>\n<p>According to Hougan, a similar divergence is now observed: asset prices are falling amid rising fundamental indicators. The expert called this a classic sign of a market bottom.<\/p>\n<p>Bitwise highlighted four key trends from the past quarter:<\/p>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Record Activity. <\/strong>The number of transactions in Ethereum and <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-a-layer%e2%80%912-solution-in-blockchain\">second-layer<\/a> networks reached all-time highs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Revenue Growth.<\/strong> Cryptocurrency companies&#8217; revenues are increasing faster than many in the traditional stock market.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Stablecoin Boom.<\/strong> The market capitalization of stablecoins <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/stablecoin-market-capitalisation-surpasses-300-billion\">surpassed $300 billion<\/a>, setting a new record.<\/li>\n<li><strong>DeFi Success.<\/strong> Trading volumes on the decentralized exchange Uniswap now consistently <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/uniswap-trading-volume-surpasses-coinbases-figure\">exceed<\/a> those of Coinbase.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Opinions among other market participants are divided. Tom Lee, head of research at Fundstrat, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=9ZDPRcyBNJQ\">expects<\/a> a challenging year due to tariffs and policy.
