Data center operators in the United States are shutting down equipment en masse due to severe weather conditions.<\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/telegram.org\/js\/telegram-widget.js?22\" data-telegram-post=\"TheMinerMag\/3388\" data-width=\"100%\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>According to TheMinerMag, the pool&#8217;s total power has dropped by nearly 200 EH\/s. Miners are forced to reduce consumption to relieve the load on urban grids. Other pools have also been affected.<\/p>\n<p>Mining companies act as a balancing force for the power system. During peak demand or emergencies, they shut down installations, redirecting electricity to households and critical infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/weather.com\/news\/weather\/news\/2026-01-25-live-updates-january-25-winter-storm-fern\">The Weather Channel<\/a>, the storm stretched nearly 3,000 km.
