On January 28, the United States Federal Reserve kept<\/a> the key interest rate unchanged within the range of 3.5-3.75%.<\/p>\n

“Available indicators suggest that economic activity is growing at a steady pace. Job growth remains low, and the unemployment rate shows some signs of stabilization. Inflation remains somewhat elevated,” the press release stated.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The decision aligned with market expectations and the consensus forecast of analysts. Prior to the latest meeting, the regulator had reduced<\/a> the rate three consecutive times.<\/p>\n

The Fed reiterated its target inflation rate of 2%. Future rate changes will depend on this factor.<\/p>\n

Following the release of the data, Bitcoin’s price remained largely unchanged. At the time of writing, the digital gold is trading around $89,300, having gained about 2% over the past 24 hours.<\/p>\n

Overall, assets in the top 10 by market capitalization showed little reaction to the Fed’s data.<\/p>\n

During a press conference<\/a>, Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell stated that the current state of monetary policy remains stable.<\/p>\n

He noted that inflation remains elevated, and labor market indicators are not the most positive.<\/p>\n
