Meanwhile, MegaETH maintains full compatibility with Ethereum.<\/p>\n<p>The team aims to create a &#8220;world computer&#8221; and erase the boundaries between Web2 servers and the distributed ledger. In the test network, developers are already creating video games, prediction markets, and payment applications.<\/p>\n<p>Among the investors are venture firm Dragonfly Capital, Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin, EigenLayer creator Sriram Kannan, and Helius founder Mert Mumtaz.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, the project&#8217;s operator, MegaLabs, <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/megaeth-raises-27-8-billion-in-token-sale\">conducted a token sale<\/a>. Demand significantly exceeded supply: 11,534 wallets contributed $300 million against a collection limit of $50 million. To allocate the funds, the team used an unconventional method\u2014analyzing investors&#8217; social media activity history.<\/p>\n<p>The MegaETH ecosystem will <a href=\"https:\/\/www.megaeth.com\/blog-news\/megaeth-introduces-usdm\">introduce<\/a> a native yield-bearing <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-are-stablecoins\">stablecoin<\/a> USDm. It will be issued by Ethena, with backing provided by a tokenized BlackRock fund.<\/p>\n<p>In March 2025, a developer known as Gunboats <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/tornado-cash-ported-to-megaeth-testnet\">ported<\/a> the recently unsanctioned Tornado Cash mixer to the test network of the <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-a-layer%e2%80%912-solution-in-blockchain\">L2<\/a> MegaETH project.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The launch of the MegaETH blockchain is scheduled for February 9.
