This view was expressed by Standard Chartered, as reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theblock.co\/post\/388248\/standard-chartered-cuts-solana-2026-target-shift-memecoins-micropayments\">The Block<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Jeffrey Kendrick, head of digital asset research, adjusted the forecast for the end of 2026 from $310 to $250. According to him, the blockchain requires more time to scale new use cases.<\/p>\n<p>However, the analyst&#8217;s long-term outlook has become more optimistic:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2027 \u2014 $400;<\/li>\n<li>2028 \u2014 $700;<\/li>\n<li>2029 \u2014 $1200;<\/li>\n<li>2030 \u2014 $2000.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Kendrick described the recent market crash as a buying opportunity, adding that he is &#8220;buying the dip&#8221; himself. He noted that market stress helps distinguish quality protocols from speculative projects. In the current environment, selective asset choice is crucial rather than &#8220;broad exposure&#8221; to the entire sector.<\/p>\n<p>The bank highlighted the fundamental evolution of Solana &#8220;from memecoins to micropayments.&#8221; Speculative trading dominated the network until May 2025, but now liquidity is shifting to SOL pairs with <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-are-stablecoins\">stablecoins<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Kendrick emphasized that &#8220;stablecoins&#8221; in the &#8220;people&#8217;s cryptocurrency&#8221; network circulate two to three times faster than in Ethereum. The blockchain&#8217;s low fees open up opportunities for AI-driven microtransactions.<\/p>\n<p>The expert anticipates that in 2026-2027, Solana will lag behind Ethereum in growth rates.
