Built for the people who move New York forward,\u201d the team wrote.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The platform also donated $1m to Food Bank For NYC to help people with limited access to food across the city\u2019s five boroughs.<\/p>\n<p>Polymarket said it had been preparing the grocery store for months. Following the announcement, the exchange <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/coinbase-challenges-state-regulators-over-prediction-markets\">filed lawsuits<\/a> against the authorities of Michigan, Illinois and Connecticut. The platform said oversight of prediction markets lies with the <span data-descr=\"U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission\" class=\"old_tooltip\">CFTC<\/span>, rather than local gambling regulators.<\/p>\n<p>In response, Coinbase itself faced a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gaming.nv.gov\/siteassets\/content\/about\/press-release\/coinbase---plaintiffs-application-for-ex-parte-temporary-restraining-order-and-motion-for-preliminary-injunction-02.02.26.pdf\">lawsuit<\/a> from the Nevada gambling regulator, which accused the exchange of running unlicensed sports betting.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, Crypto\u2024com carved out its prediction\u2011markets business into a separate platform called OG.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Welcome to the new era of social prediction markets with OG.
