He accused the previous White House administration of fabricating charges against him.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">1) Rule No. 1 of Biden&#8217;s political lawfare:<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t let them present evidence.<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/OzopfeHTvk\">https:\/\/t.co\/OzopfeHTvk<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 SBF (@SBF_FTX) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SBF_FTX\/status\/2020899590589837316?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 9, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;Biden&#8217;s legal machine fabricated charges against me, Donald Trump, Ryan Salame, etc. To make the charges stick, we weren&#8217;t even allowed to respond to them,&#8221; said the <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/sam-bankman-fried-sentenced-to-25-years-in-prison\">businessman sentenced to 25 years in prison<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Bankman-Fried recalled the Democrats&#8217; unsuccessful attempts to prosecute Trump after his first term as head of state.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;Biden&#8217;s Department of Justice silenced me \u2014 Judge [Lewis] Kaplan silenced me, then jailed me during the proceedings. President Trump also had Kaplan as a judge,&#8221; noted the FTX founder.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In his view, personal animosity from Biden&#8217;s administration had several reasons. Firstly, politicians &#8220;hated cryptocurrency.&#8221; Secondly, Bankman-Fried was a former Democratic sponsor who switched to the Republican side.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the entrepreneur considers himself the &#8220;main enemy&#8221; of former <span data-descr=\"U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission\" class=\"old_tooltip\">SEC<\/span> Chairman Gary Gensler. He allegedly visited Washington dozens of times to push for a change in the regulator&#8217;s leadership.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;That&#8217;s why they lied, claiming I stole billions of dollars and bankrupted FTX. But the money was always there, and FTX was always solvent,&#8221; explained Bankman-Fried.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>He also claims that prosecutors prohibited mentioning FTX&#8217;s solvency and &#8220;mentioning lawyers&#8221; during hearings.<\/p>\n<p>To strengthen their position in court, the Biden administration intimidated former head of FTX&#8217;s Bahamian division Ryan Salame with false charges, preventing him from providing evidence of innocence, Bankman-Fried believes.<\/p>\n<p>In a separate post, the FTX founder <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SBF_FTX\/status\/2021165548306907339\">stated<\/a> that the company was never bankrupt:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;Lawyers took control of the company, and within four hours, they filed a sham bankruptcy claim to loot it and get the money.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Skepticism Abounds<\/h2>\n<p>Many in the community did not take the former CEO&#8217;s attempt to explain himself seriously. He was <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/scottmatthewsx\/status\/2021027622822854771\">advised<\/a> to &#8220;endure&#8221; the situation and serve the remaining sentence.<\/p>\n<p>In comments under the post, Cinneamhain Ventures partner Adam Cochran <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/adamscochran\/status\/2020978585969029583\" title=\"\">asked<\/a> Bankman-Fried to &#8220;just shut up.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;You literally stole money. It&#8217;s not about licenses, it&#8217;s about billions of dollars of illegal embezzlement. Your lack of remorse is exactly what makes you [a bad person],&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Some users <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/tweetthisjay\/status\/2020998093588791595\">noted<\/a> that the businessman is likely &#8220;cozying up&#8221; to Trump for a pardon. Although back in January, the U.S. President <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/trump-rules-out-pardoning-ftx-founder\">ruled out<\/a> such an outcome.<\/p>\n<p>On Polymarket, the probability that Trump will pardon Bankman-Fried by the end of 2026 stands at 11%.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/img-b9b51ed67f3db29f-5943431490027023.webp\" alt=\"image\" class=\"wp-image-274942\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/polymarket.com\/event\/who-will-trump-pardon-before-2027\">Polymarket<\/a>.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In late October, Bankman-Fried <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/sam-bankman-fried-claims-ftx-was-solvent-at-the-time-of-collapse\">claimed<\/a> FTX was solvent at the time of its collapse.
