Go, an $8-a-month budget tier, launched globally in mid-January. Advertising will help sustain the services and broaden access to artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n<p>Commercial content is tailored based on the topic of the dialogue, previous chats and how a user has interacted with sponsored posts. They see aggregate performance indicators such as views or clicks.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;Users often turn to ChatGPT when they are exploring possible options, comparing ideas, and forming a decision. In these moments, advertising becomes a way to introduce people to products and services they might like,&#8221; the announcement says.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The company plans to improve the relevance of commercial ads.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">OpenAI back in the saddle<\/h2>\n<p>A few days before the ad rollout, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2026\/02\/09\/sam-altman-touts-chatgpt-growth-as-openai-nears-100-billion-funding.html\">said<\/a> to employees and investors that ChatGPT &#8220;again exceeded 10% monthly growth.&#8221; The company is preparing to launch an updated version of the chatbot, he added.<\/p>\n<p>The coding tool Codex recorded a 50% week-on-week rise. It competes with Anthropic\u2019s Claude Code, which became extremely popular during 2025.<\/p>\n<p>In February, OpenAI unveiled a new version of its programming model, GPT-5.3 Codex, shortly after Anthropic released its flagship model \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/claude-opus-4-6-surpasses-gpt-5-2-in-logic-tests-and-introduces-agent-teams\">Claude Opus 4.6<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;It was a great week,&#8221; Altman said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Competition heats up<\/h2>\n<p>In its first Super Bowl ad, Anthropic mocked OpenAI.
