The initiative has sparked conflict within the community as Aave Labs has requested funding of approximately $50 million.<\/p>\n<p>According to the proposal, developers would receive $42.5 million in <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-are-stablecoins\">stablecoins<\/a> and 75,000 AAVE tokens. In return, they promise to direct 100% of the revenues from Aave-branded products to the DAO treasury. The proposal also includes a plan to develop Aave v4 as the protocol&#8217;s foundation.<\/p>\n<p>On the eve of the vote, both sides published opposing reports.<\/p>\n<p>Mark Zeller, founder of the Aave Chan Initiative (ACI), <a href=\"https:\/\/governance.aave.com\/t\/aave-labs-86-million-23-of-the-token-supply-and-this-is-their-track-record\/24159\">calculated<\/a> that Aave Labs has already received $86 million over time, including funds from the <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-an-ico-and-can-you-profit-from-it\">ICO<\/a>, venture investors, and DAO sponsors.<\/p>\n<p>Zeller emphasized that future grants should be evaluated based on their impact on revenues. He demanded transparent reporting and suggested splitting the initiative into several votes.<\/p>\n<p>In response, Aave Labs <a href=\"https:\/\/governance.aave.com\/t\/aave-labs-contributions-report\/24155\">released<\/a> its own report. The team reminded that they created versions v1, v2, and v3, as well as key monetization protocols like flash loans.<\/p>\n<p>Developers argue that real work on code, security, and infrastructure cannot be measured by the number of forum posts written.<\/p>\n<p>Some community members have expressed concern over the size of the requested amount.
