{"id":94712,"date":"2026-02-25T21:30:42","date_gmt":"2026-02-25T18:30:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=94712"},"modified":"2026-02-25T21:35:12","modified_gmt":"2026-02-25T18:35:12","slug":"revolut-and-three-firms-selected-for-stablecoin-testing-in-the-uk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/revolut-and-three-firms-selected-for-stablecoin-testing-in-the-uk\/","title":{"rendered":"Revolut and Three Firms Selected for Stablecoin Testing in the UK"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The UK&#8217;s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fca.org.uk\/news\/press-releases\/4-firms-selected-test-stablecoin-regulatory-sandbox\">selected<\/a> Revolut, Monee Financial Technologies, ReStabilise, and VVTX from 20 applicants to participate in a stablecoin &#8220;regulatory sandbox.&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The programme will allow firms to test stablecoin-based products in real-world conditions with appropriate safeguards.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This initiative will help the FCA assess its supervisory policy in practice and ensure &#8220;clarity, efficiency, and support for responsible innovation in the future.&#8221; The regulator will focus primarily on the issuance process of digital assets.\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;The proposals from the selected four companies represent a wide range of stablecoin use cases, including payments, wholesale settlements, and cryptocurrency trading. Each firm will receive feedback from FCA specialists and contribute to shaping the UK&#8217;s regulatory approach,&#8221; the agency added.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Testing will commence in the first quarter, and the results will help establish final rules for stablecoins in the country later in 2026.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;We support UK stablecoin issuers to ensure trust in payments, settlements, and trading.
