According to developers, Solana holds 49% of the micropayments market between AI agents based on the x402 protocol.<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;people&#8217;s cryptocurrency&#8221; significantly outpaces Base in key scalability metrics. The current throughput of the &#8220;people&#8217;s cryptocurrency&#8221; is 1,140 transactions per second (TPS), nearly 10 times the rate of Base (118.5 TPS). Solana&#8217;s historical peak reached 5,289 TPS compared to 1,988 TPS for its competitor.
