The main investors were D. E. Shaw Ventures, Dragoneer, Founders Fund, ICONIQ, and MGX.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier in January, the developer of the chatbot Grok, xAI, also <a href=\"https:\/\/x.ai\/news\/series-e\">secured<\/a> $20 billion with support from Valor Equity Partners, Stepstone Group, Fidelity Management &#038; Research Company, and other partners.<\/p>\n<p>Other participants are expected to join the OpenAI deal.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cSoftBank, Nvidia, and Amazon are long-term partners who share our commitment to turning real scientific advances into systems that deliver tangible benefits to millions of people worldwide,\u201d commented the firm&#8217;s CEO, Sam Altman.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The funds will be directed towards expanding global presence, deepening infrastructure, and strengthening the balance sheet.<\/p>\n<p>The new round has increased the OpenAI Foundation&#8217;s stake in the firm to over $180 billion. This will enhance the non-profit&#8217;s ability to fund projects in healthcare and AI safety.<\/p>\n<p>In October, media <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/reports-openai-plans-1-trillion-ipo\">reported<\/a> that Altman&#8217;s company is preparing for an IPO with a valuation of $1 trillion. The technology will enable neural networks to maintain context, work with computing resources, memory, and identification, and integrate with existing applications in <span data-descr=\"Amazon Web Services\" class=\"old_tooltip\">AWS<\/span>. The launch is expected in the coming months.<\/p>\n<p>Amazon Web Services will become the sole third-party provider for <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/openai-counters-anthropic-with-the-release-of-gpt-5-3-codex\">OpenAI Frontier<\/a>. Companies will be able to create and coordinate AI agents with corporate security without managing infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, under an eight-year agreement worth $100 billion (in addition to an existing $38 billion deal), OpenAI will use about 2 GW of Trainium capacity on AWS infrastructure. This will provide the company with long-term computing resources and reduce the cost of scaling AI.<\/p>\n<p>The startup has also expanded its multi-year collaboration with Nvidia, adding 3 GW of dedicated capacity for <span data-descr=\"the process where a model makes inferences and generates responses based on already trained data\" class=\"old_tooltip\">inference<\/span> and 2 GW for training on Vera Rubin systems.
