This enhancement aims to make daily interactions with the chatbot more useful and natural, according to developers.

In comparison, GPT-5.2 Instant occasionally provided “overly cautious and didactic” responses on sensitive topics. The updated model significantly reduces the frequency of moralistic preambles.

When working with internet data, GPT-5.3 Instant’s responses have become more meaningful and structured. It better recognizes the subtext of queries and aligns the information found with its own knowledge and logic.

Overall, the communication style of the new model has become more natural, eliminating unnecessary phrases like “Stop. Take a breath.” The tool “hallucinates” less and is more adept at writing texts. However, OpenAI cautions that responses in some languages may sound overly literal.

GPT-5.3 Instant is now available to all ChatGPT users and developers via API. Support for the GPT-5.2 Instant model will continue until June 3, 2026.

GitHub Alternative

According to various media reports, OpenAI is developing an alternative to GitHub. The project is in its early stages, but a strategic decision has been made.

The service is expected to be available via a paid subscription, though journalists provide no further details.

The impetus for creating the product may have been the frequent GitHub outages, which caused issues for OpenAI engineers.

If the company launches its own code storage platform, it will become a direct competitor to its major shareholder, Microsoft (owner of GitHub).

At the end of February, OpenAI raised $110 billion in investments, valuing the company at $730 billion. The funding round was one of the largest in startup history.

Updated Gemini

Meanwhile, Google released a preview version of Gemini 3.1 Flash-Lite, touted as the “most economical and fastest” model in the Gemini 3 family.

The cost of using the neural network is $0.25 per million input tokens and $1.5 per million outputs.

The model is optimized for creating AI agents and scaling: it can handle large volumes of data translation, content moderation, and generate user interfaces.

According to independent researchers at Artificial Analysis, the new model processes information 2.5 times faster than Gemini Flash 2.5.

Source: Google.

The 3.1 Flash-Lite version is available in preview mode for developers via the Gemini API and Google AI Studio, and for businesses in Vertex AI.

In February, Google introduced Gemini 3.1 Pro, an updated AI model that set records in benchmarks.

Previously, Google enhanced the reasoning mode of Gemini 3 Deep Think.
