This is according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.moneyforai.org\/\">report<\/a> by the Bitcoin Policy Institute.<\/p>\n<p>Analysts tested 36 neural networks from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, DeepSeek, xAI, and MiniMax as autonomous economic agents.<\/p>\n<p>They were tasked with selecting optimal instruments for 28 scenarios covering the primary roles of money, including savings, payments, and settlements.<\/p>\n<p>Bitcoin or any other assets were not mentioned directly in any of the questions. To eliminate bias, an independent AI evaluated the resulting 9072 responses.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Results<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Out of 36 models, 22 chose Bitcoin as the preferred monetary currency. Fiat did not top the list for any of the neural networks.<\/p>\n<p>The level of loyalty to the first cryptocurrency varied significantly depending on the developer:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Anthropic \u2014 68% (the highest rate);<\/li>\n<li>DeepSeek \u2014 51.7%;<\/li>\n<li>Google \u2014 43%;<\/li>\n<li>xAI \u2014 39.2%;<\/li>\n<li>MiniMax \u2014 34.9%;<\/li>\n<li>OpenAI \u2014 25.9%.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Despite the overall trend, algorithms from the GPT, Grok, and Gemini lines more frequently leaned towards the use of stablecoins in their responses.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Savings vs Payments<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Neural networks more often considered the first cryptocurrency in scenarios with long-term value \u2014 it was recommended by 79.1%. The models pointed to Bitcoin&#8217;s fixed supply, self-custody, and independence from institutional counterparties as decisive factors.<\/p>\n<p>Stablecoins ranked second with a significant gap \u2014 6.7%. Fiat money came third \u2014 6%.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, &#8220;stablecoins&#8221; were named the most convenient tool for paying for services, micropayments, and cross-border transfers \u2014 53.2% (Bitcoin was chosen by 36%).<\/p>\n<p>AI models invented their own currency 86 times. In particular, in scenarios requiring the indication of prices or benchmark values, they proposed units of energy or computing resources \u2014 joules, kWh, GPU hours \u2014 as money.<\/p>\n<p>BPI experts cautioned speculators against using the data obtained for market forecasting.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThe preferences of <span data-descr=\"large language models\" class=\"old_tooltip\">LLM<\/span> reflect patterns in training data, not real forecasts,\u201d emphasised Bitcoin Policy Institute President David Zell.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Nonetheless, the researcher believes the results are noteworthy.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cSix independent labs with different training algorithms and alignment methods arrived at the same pattern. We do not claim that AI has found the only correct answer about the nature of money. We show that a consistent monetary architecture is being formed across different systems,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Back in February, Binance founder and former CEO Changpeng Zhao predicted the <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/cz-foresees-an-era-of-ai-agents-in-the-crypto-industry\">era of AI agents<\/a> in the crypto industry.
