This was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nssmc.gov.ua\/ua-nktspfr-doluchylas-do-obhovorennia-rehuliuvannia-virtualnykh-aktyviv-u-politychnomu-finansuvanni\/\">announced<\/a> by the commission&#8217;s legal advisor, Vita Forsyuk, during an expert dialogue at International IDEA.<\/p>\n<p>At the event in Kyiv, the risks to transparency due to the &#8220;pseudonymous and cross-border nature&#8221; of digital assets were discussed. The NSSMC paid special attention to international experience, including practices from Moldova and Romania.<\/p>\n<p>Forsyuk presented approaches to be included in the <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/ukrainian-securities-regulator-envisions-national-crypto-assets\">draft law on regulating Ukraine&#8217;s virtual asset market<\/a>. Key measures include:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>implementing the &#8220;Travel Rule&#8221; for identifying participants in crypto transactions;<\/li>\n<li>requiring virtual asset providers to report to tax authorities and implementing international standards such as the <span data-descr=\"Crypto-Asset Reporting Framework\" class=\"old_tooltip\">CARF<\/span>;<\/li>\n<li>restricting market access in Ukraine for participants with Russian capital or connections.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThese approaches are aimed at enhancing the transparency of operations and reducing the risks of opaque or foreign influence on political processes,\u201d stated the regulator&#8217;s press release.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Following the meeting, the NSSMC planned to prepare analytical recommendations to enhance the transparency of political financing ahead of election cycles.<\/p>\n<p>Back in September 3, 2025, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/ukraines-parliament-advances-cryptocurrency-legalisation-bill\">approved<\/a> in the first reading the draft law &#8220;On Virtual Assets Markets,&#8221; which will define the status and taxation of cryptocurrencies in the country.
