Now, their share has decreased to 17%.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Record Activity<\/h2>\n<p>Analysts linked the trend shift to investors moving from altcoins to traditional assets amid <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/resilient-bitcoin-and-a-firm-dollar-how-the-conflict-in-iran-reshaped-markets\">geopolitical instability<\/a>. The conflict in the Middle East led to logistical disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz, through which a fifth of the world&#8217;s oil passes.<\/p>\n<p>The subsequent rise in prices triggered a surge in oil derivative trading. Experts emphasize that traditional platforms do not operate at night and on weekends, although significant news events often occur during these times. They provide the exchange with additional commission income, accelerate token buybacks, and support the price of the native HYPE coin.<\/p>\n<p>Since the beginning of the year, the asset has appreciated by 62%. Last week, the <span data-descr=\"U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission\" class=\"old_tooltip\">SEC<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/sec-grants-nasdaq-approval-for-tokenized-stock-trading\">approved<\/a> a joint pilot project by Nasdaq and Kraken for trading digitized high-liquidity stocks.<\/p>\n<p>Simultaneously, Intercontinental Exchange \u2014 the parent company of the <span data-descr=\"New York Stock Exchange\" class=\"old_tooltip\">NYSE<\/span> \u2014 invested in OKX. Users of the platform will be able to trade tokenized securities and derivatives listed on the New York Stock Exchange.<\/p>\n<p>Sygnum believes that <span data-descr=\"traditional finance\" class=\"old_tooltip\">TradFi<\/span> will continue its gradual transition to on-chain, although for now, this demand is largely met by specialized decentralized platforms like Hyperliquid.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>&#8220;If altcoins remain merely proxy instruments for Bitcoin amid low liquidity, cryptocurrency users may shift to traditional assets with a better risk-reward ratio,&#8221; experts noted.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>A broad shift towards risk would require de-escalation in the Middle East and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. However, the current environment only accelerates the adoption of tokenized <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-are-rwas-real-world-assets\">RWA<\/a> by both TradFi and the crypto market.<\/p>\n<p>In March, NYSE <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/nyse-partners-with-securitize-to-launch-tokenized-stock-trading\">engaged<\/a> Securitize to launch trading of digitized stocks.<\/p>\n<p>Asset manager Franklin Templeton <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/franklin-templeton-to-launch-blockchain-based-etfs\">announced<\/a> a partnership with Ondo Finance.
