Bhutan ranks seventh worldwide by bitcoin reserves. Since the start of the year the kingdom has moved more than $150m, typically in tranches of $5m\u201310m.<\/p>\n<p>The most recent sizeable moves were recorded on <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/bhutans-sovereign-fund-withdraws-over-70-million-from-bitcoin-reserves\">March 17\u201318<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/bhutan-government-transfers-37-million-in-bitcoin-from-reserves\">March 25<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2019 the state has accumulated bitcoin via mining powered by cheap hydropower.
