Of the total $65 million, tokens worth $25 million are subject to a six-month lock-up, while the rest became immediately available to buyers.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Following the announcement, WLD dropped to $0.24, marking its lowest point ever. At the time of writing, prices had recovered to $0.28. The asset is trading nearly 96% below its <span data-descr=\"all-time high\" class=\"old_tooltip\">ATH<\/span>, last updated in 2021 at $7.3. The initiative proposes exchanging 10,000 stETH from the organization&#8217;s treasury for LDO.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Limit orders or a DCA strategy will be used to minimize market impact. Each buyback batch must be approved by token holders, and a report on the results will be required upon completion.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>\u201cThis is not a typical fluctuation. It is one of the most significant discrepancies between the market price of LDO and the protocol&#8217;s fundamentals in the token&#8217;s history,\u201d the proposal&#8217;s authors noted.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The coin is trading at a discount to Ethereum at 0.00016\u2014approximately 63% below the two-year median, developers calculated.
