The error occurred during the release packaging. It was caused by human error, not a hack. We are implementing measures to prevent this from happening again,\u201d a company representative stated.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The first reports of the leaked code surfaced on March 31. Specifically, it became known how the service:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>manages requests to models;<\/li>\n<li>coordinates the work of multiple assistants;<\/li>\n<li>controls access and permissions;<\/li>\n<li>handles authorization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additionally, the code revealed 44 hidden features that had not yet been officially presented. Among the most intriguing discoveries are:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Kairos \u2014 a constantly active background system. It retains &#8220;memory&#8221; and analyzes accumulated data at night for further training;<\/li>\n<li>Buddy \u2014 an AI pet in the style of &#8220;Tamagotchi.&#8221; According to the code, its launch was planned for April 1-7.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The data set also includes Undercover Mode \u2014 a special mode that prevents the neural network from accidentally publishing internal project names.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Series of Leaks and Market Competition<\/h2>\n<p>This is the second major error by the company recently. Just days prior, the description of a future AI model and other documents were found in the public domain, as <a href=\"https:\/\/fortune.com\/2026\/03\/26\/anthropic-says-testing-mythos-powerful-new-ai-model-after-data-leak-reveals-its-existence-step-change-in-capabilities\/\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>At that time, a representative of Anthropic stated that the new model represents a \u201cqualitative leap\u201d in performance and is \u201cthe most powerful solution to date.\u201d It is currently being tested among a limited group of users.<\/p>\n<p>The company explained that information about the upcoming LLM appeared online \u201cdue to human error,\u201d and the leaked materials were \u201cearly drafts of content.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The release of Claude Code to the general public took place in May 2025.
