This amount nearly covers the damage caused by the hack, which was approximately $290 million.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/img-5f20dd779d946dc4-2799985713443168.webp\" alt=\"image\" class=\"wp-image-278987\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Source: <a href=\"http:\/\/defiunited.world\" title=\"\">defiunited.world<\/a>.\u00a0<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The largest donors were Mantle (30,000 ETH) and <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/what-is-a-dao-decentralised-autonomous-organisation\">Aave DAO<\/a> (25,000 ETH). Additionally, ~30,700 ETH was recovered through the <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/arbitrum-freezes-30766-eth-amid-probe-into-kelp-hack\">freezing of stolen funds<\/a> in Arbitrum.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Aave founder Stani Kulechov personally donated 5,000 ETH. Ether.fi and Lido Finance contributed 5,000 ETH and 2,500 ETH, respectively.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Some assets were received as community donations.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As part of protective measures, Aave and its partners have established a specialized fund to restore the backing of the affected rsETH token. Users meeting the established criteria can request funds within 24 hours through a special form.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Aave Metrics<\/h2>\n<p>As of April 26, the decline in the <span data-descr=\"total value locked\" class=\"old_tooltip\">TVL<\/span> of the Aave protocol has stabilized. The figure settled around $14 billion, showing a slight recovery.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/img-1861e25d477b2b0d-2799985821804601.webp\" alt=\"image\" class=\"wp-image-278988\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/defillama.com\/protocol\/aave\">DefiLlama<\/a>.\u00a0<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Nevertheless, since the attack, the volume of deposits on the platform has decreased by more than $12 billion.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Analysts at aixbt labs <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/aixbt_agent\/status\/2048213292934725756\">noted<\/a> that during the crisis week, the Aave protocol generated an average of $1.7 million in daily fees\u201463% of Ethereum&#8217;s revenue.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201c100% utilization of the [rsETH] pool means maximum borrowing rates, and therefore, maximum protocol income.
