{"id":96885,"date":"2026-05-07T09:50:47","date_gmt":"2026-05-07T06:50:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=96885"},"modified":"2026-05-07T10:16:42","modified_gmt":"2026-05-07T07:16:42","slug":"anthropic-expands-claude-limits-following-spacex-agreement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/anthropic-expands-claude-limits-following-spacex-agreement\/","title":{"rendered":"Anthropic Expands Claude Limits Following SpaceX Agreement"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Anthropic has doubled the five-hour usage limits for Claude Code across its Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We\u2019ve agreed to a partnership with <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SpaceX?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@SpaceX<\/a> that will substantially increase our compute capacity.<\/p>\n<p>This, along with our other recent compute deals, means that we\u2019ve been able to increase our usage limits for Claude Code and the Claude API.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Claude (@claudeai) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/claudeai\/status\/2052060691893227611?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 6, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The company has also lifted the reduction of Claude Code limits during peak hours for Pro and Max accounts and significantly increased the API rate limits for Claude Opus models.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/img-16ed729bb1c7706c-3737847302312780.webp\" alt=\"image\" class=\"wp-image-279651\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Source: Anthropic.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>These changes were made possible by a partnership agreement with SpaceX, which has significantly boosted computing capacity.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThe combination of this deal with other recent agreements has allowed us to increase the usage limits for Claude Code and Claude API,\u201d the announcement stated.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">xAI Joins SpaceX<\/h2>\n<p>The AI startup xAI <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/spacex-merges-with-xai-to-form-1-25-trillion-company\">ceased<\/a> to exist after being acquired by SpaceX, now operating as a division of the space company under the name SpaceXAI.<\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/telegram.org\/js\/telegram-widget.js?23\" data-telegram-post=\"forklogAI\/7097\" data-width=\"100%\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Anthropic has gained access to the entire capacity of the Colossus 1 data center: over 300 MW, or more than 220,000 Nvidia GPUs.<\/p>\n<p>Other computing deals include:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Amazon \u2014 up to 5 GW, with nearly 1 GW by the end of 2026;<\/li>\n<li>Google and Broadcom \u2014 5 GW, agreement effective in 2027;<\/li>\n<li>Microsoft and Nvidia \u2014 Azure capacity valued up to $30 billion;<\/li>\n<li>Investments in U.S. AI infrastructure totaling $50 billion in collaboration with Fluidstack.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cWe train and deploy Claude on various AI hardware platforms \u2014 AWS Trainium, Google TPU, and Nvidia GPUs \u2014 and continue to explore opportunities for additional capacity,\u201d Anthropic stated.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The company is interested in partnering with SpaceX to develop orbital computing solutions with several gigawatts of power.
