Both positions are based in Beijing.<\/p>\n<p>The new solution will directly compete with <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/anthropic-expands-claude-limits-following-spacex-agreement\">Claude Code<\/a> from Anthropic and <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/openai-introduces-a-streamlined-version-of-codex-ai-programmer\">Codex<\/a> from OpenAI.<\/p>\n<p>According to Chen, the team will build Code Harness &#8220;from scratch.&#8221; He described the project as &#8220;DeepSeek Code or something like that.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The job descriptions use the formula &#8220;model + harness = agent.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>By harness, they mean a layer on top of the <span data-descr=\"large language model\" class=\"old_tooltip\">LLM<\/span>. It is responsible for managing context, planning steps, memory, tool invocation, file handling, terminal operations, testing, and feedback.<\/p>\n<p>DeepSeek aims to offer not just a code generation assistant, but an agent product for executing multi-step tasks in a development environment.<\/p>\n<p>Candidates are expected to have experience with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Manus, and OpenClaw. Requirements also include understanding agent cycles, <span data-descr=\"Model Context Protocol \u2014 a protocol that allows AI models and agents to connect to external tools, data, and services\" class=\"old_tooltip\">MCP<\/span>, multi-agent systems, context management, and vibe coding.<\/p>\n<p>The team will work closely with DeepSeek researchers.<\/p>\n<p>DeepSeek V4 supports integration with Claude Code through an Anthropic-compatible <span data-descr=\"application programming interface\" class=\"old_tooltip\">API<\/span>. The V4 Flash version, introduced on April 24, costs $0.14 per 1 million input tokens.
