He noted that current valuations are &#8220;somewhat overestimated,&#8221; and the system is moving towards a change in the currency order.<\/p>\n<p>The economist drew parallels with historical milestones: the collapse of the gold standard and the &#8220;Nixon Shock&#8221; of 1971. He suggested that the current stage is preparation for dismantling the &#8220;petrodollar&#8221; system.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>&#8220;Every time major wars occur, they lead to a change in the global financial system. [&#8230;] We are in the acceleration phase before the next monetary system restructuring,&#8221; Werner emphasized.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The expert predicted a &#8220;second wave&#8221; of inflation, calling it a &#8220;good disguise&#8221; for changing the monetary model. He accused central banks of unwarranted issuance in 2020, which he described as a purely monetary decision without economic reasons.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">CBDCs as &#8220;Digital Control&#8221;<\/h2>\n<p>The economist sees the main threat in digital identification and the programmability of money. Werner suggested interpreting the acronym CBDC as Central Bank Digital Control.<\/p>\n<p>In his view, the new system will allow authorities to micromanage citizens&#8217; lives:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>restrict spending by time and location;<\/li>\n<li>block transactions when purchasing &#8220;wrong&#8221; goods;<\/li>\n<li>control population movement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>&#8220;This is the dream come true of a totalitarian dictator. It is about highly centralized structures whose goal is not productivity but control over us,&#8221; he stated.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Werner reminded that humanity has been using digital money from commercial banks for decades. The problem with CBDCs, in his opinion, lies precisely in the centralization of the tool in the hands of the authorities.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, similar concerns were expressed by other market participants. In 2024, U.S. President Donald Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/news\/donald-trump-vows-to-block-cbdc-in-the-us\">promised<\/a> to &#8220;never allow&#8221; the creation of CBDCs, calling them a &#8220;dangerous threat to freedom.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Regulators like the <span data-descr=\"European Central Bank\" class=\"old_tooltip\">ECB<\/span> and the <span data-descr=\"Federal Reserve System of the USA\" class=\"old_tooltip\">Fed<\/span> deny plans for total surveillance.
