{"id":97607,"date":"2026-05-28T12:23:29","date_gmt":"2026-05-28T09:23:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/?p=97607"},"modified":"2026-05-28T12:25:10","modified_gmt":"2026-05-28T09:25:10","slug":"thailand-to-launch-100-mw-hydrogen-data-center","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forklog.com\/en\/thailand-to-launch-100-mw-hydrogen-data-center\/","title":{"rendered":"Thailand to Launch 100 MW Hydrogen Data Center"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Chinese company U Power, through its joint venture Hydro Data JV, will <a href=\"https:\/\/technode.global\/2026\/05\/28\/china-based-u-power-to-develop-hydrogen-based-energy-solution-for-100mw-data-center-in-thailand\/\">develop<\/a> an integrated energy solution for a 100 MW data center in Thailand&#8217;s Rayong province.<\/p>\n<p>The project partners include infrastructure developer CEWA Group and hydrogen systems manufacturer Jiangsu Guofu Hydrogen Energy Equipment.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative will begin with a pilot <span data-descr=\"data processing center\" class=\"old_tooltip\">data center<\/span> with a capacity of 3 MW. This phase is necessary to verify the technological efficiency and economic model before full-scale expansion.<\/p>\n<p>Hydro Data JV is responsible for the integration and management of the energy system using AI. Guofu Hydrogen Energy will supply and service the generation equipment. CEWA provides local infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>U Power plans to register a subsidiary in Thailand by the end of July, with operational launch within 90 days thereafter.<\/p>\n<p>The enterprise was established in April in collaboration with Jiangsu Guofu Hydrogen Energy Equipment and Cloud Digital Chain Limited.<\/p>\n<p>The company aims to profit from the design, supply, installation, operation, and energy management. The system is expected to provide both primary and backup power to the data center.<\/p>\n<p>The project enters a rapidly growing market. In early May, the Thailand Board of Investment <a href=\"https:\/\/technode.global\/2026\/05\/07\/thailand-approves-29b-investment-wave-as-data-center-demand-surges\/\">approved<\/a> six major initiatives worth 958 billion baht (~$29 billion).
