The assets are temporarily held by the company and are planned to be returned after a resolution is agreed upon with the protocol developers, stated project CEO Michael Figge.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We\u2019ve just finished a whitehat operation on an exploit discovered in Flooring Protocol.<\/p>\n<p>Now safely in the custody of Yuga Labs:<\/p>\n<p>29 bored apes<br \/>4 mutant apes<br \/>1 bakc<br \/>2 cryptopunks<br \/>1 azuki<br \/>2 elementals<br \/>26 captains<br \/>1 moonbird<br \/>2 doodles<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/0xQuit?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@0xQuit<\/a>, our VP of Blockchain recovered the\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 figge (@mfigge) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/mfigge\/status\/2063782936399544740?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 8, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.x.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The operation saved the following assets:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>29 Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC);<\/li>\n<li>2 CryptoPunks;<\/li>\n<li>4 Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC);<\/li>\n<li>1 Bored Ape Kennel Club (BAKC);<\/li>\n<li>1 Azuki and 2 Elementals;<\/li>\n<li>26 Captains;<\/li>\n<li>1 Moonbird;<\/li>\n<li>2 Doodles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Yuga Labs&#8217; Vice President of Blockchain, known as 0xQuit, reported that the market value of the extracted tokens exceeds $500,000. The operation also involved a researcher by the nickname coffeedev and the platform GrailsOTC, which provided liquidity for the asset transfer.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">A Flooring exploit today turned a dust amount of WETH into a near-infinite fpToken balance, allowing the attacker to drain Flooring pools.<\/p>\n<p>This led to a followup opportunist scooping up tokens from the now depleted pools and exchanging them for underlying NFTs.<\/p>\n<p>1\/\ud83e\uddf5<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Quit (@0xQuit) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/0xQuit\/status\/2063804118112829702?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 8, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.x.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The vulnerability was found in the token accounting logic of the BT404 standard style. Due to <span data-descr=\"an error that occurs when a mathematical operation results in a number smaller than the minimum value that the allocated data type can hold\" class=\"old_tooltip\">integer underflow<\/span> errors, attackers could create a &#8220;phantom ownership&#8221; state, gain an unlimited fpToken balance, and deplete liquidity pools.<\/p>\n<p>Developers of Flooring Protocol acknowledged that the bug was missed during checks due to overly optimized bit-level code. The project team is currently working on a fix to allow Yuga Labs to safely return the assets to their rightful owners.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Market Context<\/h2>\n<p>The incident occurred amid stagnation in the non-fungible token segment.
