Yoshkar-Ola resident loses 800,000 rubles in bid to profit from cryptocurrencies

A Yoshkar-Ola woman filed a police report alleging fraud after attempting to acquire cryptocurrencies. Local МВД reported this.

The woman registered on a cryptocurrency platform and, for two months, interacted with a “consultant”. The victim transferred almost 800,000 rubles to the account he provided, part of which she borrowed.

When she could not withdraw the profits, the victim turned to the authorities.

A criminal case for fraud has been opened.

Earlier, a 60-year-old resident of Salekhard became a victim of scammers, who promised her a profit from a cryptocurrency exchange.
