YouTube Creators to Receive Earnings in PYUSD via PayPal

YouTube creators can now earn in PYUSD via PayPal.

YouTube has enabled content creators to receive payments in the stablecoin PYUSD, as reported by Fortune, citing a statement from PayPal’s head of crypto, Mai Zabane.

Currently, this option is available only to bloggers in the United States.

The payment service introduced the ability to receive payments in PYUSD earlier in 2025, and YouTube has offered this to video creators.

“The beauty of the solution is that YouTube doesn’t need to deal with crypto assets directly; we eliminate this complexity for them,” said Zabane.

PayPal has been collaborating with the video platform for several years. Users can pay for services through the service, and the platform itself uses it for payouts to creators via AdSense.

Launched in 2023, PYUSD is the sixth-largest stablecoin on the market, with a capitalization of $3.9 billion.

In 2023, YouTube was led by Neal Mohan, who succeeded Susan Wojcicki. Previously, the top executive was responsible for product development and openly supported digital asset-based technologies. However, until the integration of PYUSD, the video hosting service had not taken significant steps in this direction.

Netflix to Produce Cryptocurrency Comedy

Streaming service Netflix has announced the production of a comedy centered around a forgotten password to a cryptocurrency wallet containing $35 million. The working title of the film is “One Attempt Remaining”.

The plot revolves around a divorced couple who discover that the digital assets they won during a cruise are now worth millions of dollars. However, the password to access them is lost.

Actress Jennifer Garner will play one of the leading roles.

According to What’s on Netflix, the plot will feature a notification from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

The authors do not specify whether the film is based on real events, but such incidents are not uncommon in the industry. The most famous case involves Ripple’s CTO Stefan Thomas, who has been unable to access a hardware wallet containing 7002 BTC (approximately $640 million) since 2011.

In May, journalists learned about Netflix’s preparations to shoot a series about Sam Bankman-Fried and FTX.
