YouTube introduces AI tools for video creation.

Google has introduced AI-powered features designed to speed up content creation for YouTube.

The new product includes an experimental utility “Dream Screen” that can generate backgrounds for short videos from a text description.

“Creators will be able to craft new, fantastic settings for their Shorts, limited only by their imagination,” said YouTube’s Vice President of Product Tony Reid.

The company also unveiled a beta version of YouTube Create, which allows users to edit and assemble videos via an Android mobile app.

With AI, users will be able to easily add transitions, visual effects or subtitles to videos. The tool also offers the additional capability to duplicate videos into other languages using the Aloud technology.

Beyond video creation, the platform intends to integrate AI into its recommendation system. As early as next year, the company will release YouTube Studio, which will be able to use neural networks to analyse views and tailor recommendations to individual users.

Earlier in August, YouTube CEO Neil Mohan shared plans to bring AI into the music industry.
