Yuga Labs to release Gucci-branded jewelry and related NFTs

The studio behind NFT-collection Bored Ape Yacht Club, Yuga Labs, will release Gucci-branded jewelry and related NFTs as part of the metaverse Otherside.

The fashion house will create 3,333 so-called ‘relics’, which are both a physical piece of jewelry and a non-fungible token. In turn, the NFT will grant some privileges in the studio’s metaverse.

According to Yuga Labs, Otherside will go open to the public as early as this summer. The project is being developed by the British startup Improbable.

Sales of KodaPendants will begin on April 7 at 02:00 (Kyiv/Moscow Time). They can be purchased exclusively with ApeCoin, with each pendant priced at 450 APE.

Rights to purchase are available only to holders of NFTs from the Koda and Vessel collections.

Owners of KodaPendants will receive a physical Gucci piece by the end of 2023. The jewelry will be shipped by mail only to the United States and Canada, as well as to several European countries and the Gulf region.

Earlier in March Gucci entered into a multi-year partnership agreement with Yuga Labs to explore the intersection of fashion and entertainment in the metaverse.

Previously the company added ApeCoin support for payments in its stores.

In August 2022, the jewelry brand Tiffany & Co. released 250 pieces of jewelry based on the CryptoPunks NFT collection.
