CryptoPunk Sells for $16 Million, Becoming Second Most Expensive
On March 4, CryptoPunk #3100, one of the nine so-called “alien punks,” was sold for 4500 ETH ($16.03 million).

According to the CryptoPunks platform, this sale is the second most expensive transaction involving a CryptoPunk in the history of the NFT collection, both in dollars and in ether.
The seller surpassed a previous offer of 4250 ETH, amounting to $14.56 million, made on March 1.
The transaction moved CryptoPunk #3100 from third to second place in terms of value on the marketplace.
According to The Block, last week’s CryptoPunk sales totaled $8.25 million.
In 2023, the floor prices of leading collections—Bored Ape Yacht Club and CryptoPunk—fell by 57.6% and 13.8%, respectively.
