AI Blockchain Projects Unite to Form ASI Token
Three AI-focused blockchain projects — SingularityNet, Fetch.ai, and Ocean Protocol — have received community approval to convert their tokens into a single coin, ASI. This was announced in a press release.
In late March, the companies agreed to merge into the Artificial Superintelligence alliance. One of the initiative’s goals is to combine AGIX, FET, and OCEAN into ASI and position the new token among the top 20 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization.
The project’s mission is to create a decentralized AI infrastructure. By merging platforms, developers and users will gain more opportunities to build a more democratic and transparent ecosystem.
Ben Goertzel, founder of SingularityNet and CEO of the alliance, emphasized the importance of democratizing AI development. According to him, the initiative will challenge Big Tech’s control over artificial intelligence.
The merger and launch of ASI are scheduled for May 24.
Earlier this year, from January to March, the AI token index increased by 260%. CoinGecko researchers attributed this surge to the hype surrounding companies developing neural networks.
