Claude Mobile App Revenue Surpasses $1 Million
The mobile AI application Claude by Anthropic has generated over $1 million in revenue 16 weeks after its launch, according to Techcrunch, citing Appfigures data.
Claude debuted on iOS in early May.
The app was launched on Android in mid-July.
Nearly half of the revenue comes from users in the United States. This figure lags significantly behind ChatGPT, which brought OpenAI $28 million in net revenue from the App Store and Google Play in July.
Altman’s chatbot ranks first in total downloads and 26th in revenue in the US on iOS. Claude ranks 95th in downloads in the “Productivity” category and 68th in revenue.
The AI bot from Anthropic received 157,000 downloads in the first week after launch, while ChatGPT recorded 480,000 in the first five days.
Claude surpassed Copilot and Perplexity in reaching the $1 million milestone, which took them 19 and 22 weeks respectively.
Back in March, Anthropic introduced the new chatbot Claude 3.
