Body of Missing Crypto Influencer Found in Montreal Park
Police in the Canadian province of Quebec have confirmed that the body discovered on October 30 in a Montreal nature park belongs to cryptocurrency influencer Kevin Mirshahi. This was reported by local media.
According to case materials, the 25-year-old blogger and three of his neighbors were abducted on June 21 from a luxury condominium on De la Commune Street. While the others were found 24 hours later near a bus stop in the western part of Montreal, the search for Mirshahi had long been fruitless.
Thanks to the victims’ testimonies, law enforcement learned the address of a house where the alleged murder took place and discovered a burned-out SUV, believed to have been used to transport them.
Mirshahi’s body was found on October 30, but for nearly two weeks, police withheld any information about the victim’s identity.
Joanie Lepage, 32, who was arrested at the end of the summer, is accused of committing the crimes.
The investigation is ongoing.
Mirshahi was the administrator of a private Telegram group called Crypto Paradise Island. In 2021, he became the subject of an investigation by the AFM for offering investment contracts without registration. In 2024, the regulator, by court order, banned the blogger from acting as a broker or investment advisor.
