Hackers Breach Cardano’s X Account to Promote Scam Token
On December 8, unknown individuals hacked the Cardano Foundation’s account on the social network X, posting a series of fraudulent statements in the organization’s name. The network’s founder, Charles Hoskinson, confirmed the breach.

The perpetrators used the account to advertise the token ADAsol, allegedly issued by Cardano developers on the Solana blockchain. Users generated about $500,000 in trading volume.
Following this, a message was posted from the compromised account about a lawsuit the organization had allegedly received from the SEC.
“In light of this unexpected lawsuit, we have made the difficult decision to immediately cease support for the ADA token to comply with regulatory requirements,” the hackers stated on behalf of the Cardano Foundation.
The project team reported that only the X account was attacked, with other channels and systems remaining unaffected.
Confirmed, we’re on it. Please create awareness
