Bitget’s February Report: EU Licensing, Forbes Ranking, and Bybit Support

The cryptocurrency exchange has released a transparency report for February 2025. During this month, the platform expanded its services in the EU in accordance with MiCA, secured the eighth spot in Forbes’ “Top 25 Most Trustworthy Crypto Exchanges” ranking, and supported Bybit following a hacking incident.

On February 14, Bitget obtained a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) license in Bulgaria. This enabled the platform to expand its services in line with the EC regulatory framework (MiCA).

Additionally, Bitget ranked eighth in Forbes’ “Top 25 Most Trustworthy Crypto Exchanges” list.

“This success is the result of our efforts to create a sustainable and trustworthy platform. The results of 2024 were impressive: we paid record bonuses to employees amounting to $70 million, highlighting the company’s growth and the value of our team’s contribution,” the report notes.

Among other achievements in February:

  • Support for Bybit. Bitget supported the exchange after a hacking attack, providing 40,000 ETH as a loan to ensure fund withdrawals;
  • Growth of the ecosystem. The number of users exceeded 100 million, and the average daily trading volume reached $20 billion. According to research by CryptoRank, Binance and Bitget lead in liquidity depth in spot markets;
  • New integrations. The Bitget Wallet team launched staking for USDT and BGB, and added support for the L2 solution Abstract;
  • Financial security. Bitget’s insurance fund reserve exceeded $600 million. It is intended to protect users in the event of hacks and other force majeure situations;
  • Social initiatives. The exchange expanded support for developers under the Bitget Builders project and launched the Bitget Graduate Program—an educational program for young professionals in Web3.

In March, Bitget honoured women for their contributions to Web3 and concluded the Blockchain4Her program, created to promote gender equality and increase the number of women in the blockchain industry.
