John McAfee, in Prison, Tweets That He Is Content

Entrepreneur John McAfee posted the first tweets from a Spanish prison, where he is held after arrest on the request of US authorities.

I am content in here. I have friends.

The food is good. All is well.

Know that if I hang myself, a la Epstein, it will be no fault of mine.

“I am content here. I have friends. The food is good. All is well,” he wrote.

Awaiting extradition, McAfee warned followers:

“Know that if I hang myself, like Epstein, it will be no fault of mine.”

Financier and multimillionaire Jeffrey Epstein died in 2019 in prison, awaiting trial on charges of trafficking minors for sexual services. He was discovered in a cell with fatal neck injuries; death was ruled a suicide. The circumstances spawned many theories about possible murder of the billionaire who knew many influential people. As a result the phrase “Epstein didn’t kill himself” became a meme representing a conspiracy theory.

In his first prison tweet, McAfee admitted that he misses only one thing in prison:

“She was my inspiration, my muse, my friend, my confidante and my lover. She inspires and supports me. But more than anything in the world she is the reason for my life.”

Jennifer McAfee said the day before that John had limited access to Twitter from prison:

“Don’t ask me how. Just figure out the puzzle.”

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filed a lawsuit against McAfee for promoting ICO projects on Twitter, and the U.S. Department of Justice has brought charges of tax evasion.

The SEC asserts that the entrepreneur earned more than $23.1 million from promoting token sales, misleading investors.

Earlier McAfee said he would not promote ICOs, acknowledging that such activity could lead to arrest for anyone.
