Huobi Global Adds Support for EUR, GBP and AUD

The Bitcoin exchange Huobi Global announced the addition of support for the euro (EUR), British pound sterling (GBP) and Australian dollar (AUD).

The fiat-to-crypto gateway platform was implemented in partnership with payment solutions provider Banxa.

Users holding EUR, GBP and AUD can buy digital assets to begin trading on the platform via Huobi OTC using bank transfers, debit and credit cards, and other payment methods.

The exchange set a per-transaction limit at the equivalent of $20,000, with a monthly purchase limit of $60,000.

During the transaction, users will undergo a one-time identity verification.

Huobi expects the gateway to become another access point to the cryptocurrency market for residents of Australia, the United Kingdom and the European Union. According to Siary San, the Huobi Group vice president for global markets, this will help achieve the company’s recently stated goal of giving 100 million households worldwide access to digital assets.

Earlier, Huobi Global bolstered its presence in the Russian market.
